This Privacy Notice explains how Esti-Mate (UK) Limited (trading as BodyShop Estimates) (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our Service. Esti-Mate (UK) Limited is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- account details such as your name, business name, email address and login credentials;
- contact details such as telephone number and business address;
- information you submit to obtain an estimate, including vehicle, insurance and customer details and damage photographs;
- support messages and other correspondence you send us;
- usage and technical data such as device identifiers, IP address and telemetry about how the Service is used.
How and why we use your data
- to create and manage your account (performance of our contract with you);
- to provide the Service and prepare estimates (performance of our contract);
- to provide customer support (legitimate interests and contract performance);
- to keep the Service secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests and legal obligation);
- to improve and develop the Service (legitimate interests);
- where required, to send you service communications (contract or consent).
Who we share data with
- service providers and subprocessors who help us run the Service, such as hosting, database, analytics and support tooling providers;
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, payment processing, subscription and order management, tax compliance and invoicing;
- professional advisers such as legal and accounting providers;
- authorities or regulators where we are required to do so by law.
International transfers
Where your personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as standard contractual clauses or transfers to countries with an adequacy decision.
Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). We aim to respond to requests within one month.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls.

We use essential cookies needed to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in). Where we use analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent and you can manage your preferences in your browser settings.
